Chumo installs to your home screen like an app. No store, no download, a few hundred KB.
Installing
- Android: open
getchumo.com/get-appin Chrome and tap install. If you're reading this inside Instagram or WhatsApp, open it in Chrome first — in-app browsers can't install anything. - iPhone: open it in Safari, tap Share, then "Add to Home Screen". It has to be Safari — that's Apple's rule, not ours.
On iPhone, notifications only work from the installed app. In a
Safari tab you can't even be asked. This is the single most common reason
people think push is broken.
Notifications
Once installed, allow notifications and your phone buzzes when a gift lands, someone joins, or a sale goes through. Nothing else — we don't send marketing.
Turn individual types off in Settings → Emails, and push on or off in Settings → Your phone. Receipts and payout confirmations always send, because nobody should be able to switch off the message telling them money moved.
Offline
Pages you've already opened stay readable without signal. Anything involving money needs a connection — a stale balance is worse than no balance.
