The difference is whether there's a room.
A space
People join and everyone's in one room with you. You talk, share files, send voice notes. Anything you send can be locked with a price. You can sell things alongside it and take gifts.
Choose this if the thing you offer is you — access, answers, being in the room.
A shop
A link, your files, a checkout. No room, no members, nothing to run daily. Someone buys, the file lands in their inbox, done.
Choose this if you have something finished to sell and no appetite for showing up every day.
A shop earns while you sleep but stops growing on its own. A space grows
but needs you in it. Most people who last do both — the shop sells, the space
keeps them.
You can have both
Two spaces and a shop per account. Plenty of people run one free space to gather people and a shop to sell to them.
